We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team at a Secondary School in Thurrock. As an HLTA, you will play a key role in providing classroom support and leading small group interventions to help students with behavioural, emotional, and social challenges engage with their learning. Key Responsibilities- Provide classroom support to students in an Alternative Provision setting.
- Lead small group activities and interventions to support learning and behaviour management.
- Assist in planning and preparing lessons with teaching staff.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and staff.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Previous experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) is preferred.
- Experience working with students in an Alternative Provision or similar setting is desirable.
- Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies.
- HLTA qualification or equivalent.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
