Twenty4Seven Education is seeking a qualified and dedicated Year 3 Teacher to work in an ambitious and stimulating 'Good' Ofsted-rated mainstream Primary School in Canterbury. This full-time opportunity starts in January on an ongoing basis covering a maternity leave.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Have regard for the need to safeguard pupils' well-being following statutory provisions
  2. Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils
  3. Plan and teach well-structured differentiated lessons in line with the National Curriculum and the school's curriculum policy
  4. Give pupils regular feedback and encourage pupils to respond to the feedback
  5. Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment following the school's behaviour policy
  6. Deploy any support staff effectively
  7. Take responsibility for improving teaching through appropriate professional development, responding to advice and feedback from colleagues
  8. Communicate effectively with parents and other professionals about pupils' achievements and well-being
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  2. Experience working within an educational setting or similar (minimum of 12 months of experience)
  3. Child DBS check on the Update Service or willing to pay and apply for a new one (Twenty4Seven Education can assist you with this process)
  4. Up-to-date knowledge of the National Curriculum
  5. Read the DfE 'Keeping Children Safe in Education' (2024) document
  6. Excellent classroom management
  7. Good communication skills
