Telecom Network Engineer

We are recruiting Telecom Surveyors for a multinational technology company that focuses on engineering, manufacturing, data analytics, networks, and operation. With over 30 years of experience and a presence in 22 countries, this company is a leader in Telecommunications.
The Surveyor identifies potential L2.5, L3 cabinet locations based on the Cabinet Siting Guidance Matrix v1.4.xlsx and field survey. We are looking for Surveyors based anywhere in the UK for current works and future commitments. These positions are based on a contingency basis. Candidates must have their own vehicle and survey equipment.
As a result, candidates can expect to earn an estimated £325-£375 per day. The salary is paid at £2.50 per survey, with an average of 130-150 homes surveyed per day.
Responsibilities
- Conduct surveys for various Fibre providers including Virgin Media, City Fibre, and others.
- Determine the best installation route for fibre optic network lines on Openreach's network.
- Carry out area surveys to ensure successful installation.
- Document hazards that may affect Civils teams, Utilities, and fibre installation teams.
- Plan cabinet locations with correct measurements and photographic information.
- MDU surveying for cable management systems, distribution systems, and splitter locations.
- Complete job packs using Microsoft Excel, CAD, GIS, etc.
- Maintain full compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
