Platform Developer - Leading Quant-Driven Market-Maker

We are seeking a highly skilled Platform Developer to join our team at Oxford Knight, a leading algorithmic trading firm. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our trading platforms and tooling.

About the Role

This is a complex and involved role that requires a strong academic record, a scientific degree from a top-tier university, and a minimum of three years' experience as a DevOps Engineer. You will have a proven track record of designing tools to automate processes for your team and the wider business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain our trading platforms and tooling
  • Automate complex processes to reduce manual tasks
  • Maintain the current infrastructure and tooling while evaluating new technologies and techniques
  • Collaborate with the team to design and implement new features and improvements
Requirements
  • Demonstrable experience of automation, e.g. tools you developed, what impact they had, etc.
  • Excellent development skills using Python or Go
  • At least one of the following: Linux, networking, storage technologies
  • Experience of standard development tools, e.g. git, IDEs, CI/CD, test-driven techniques
  • Previous exposure to one of the following would be highly desirable: containerisation; monitoring applications; logging tools; configuration management; knowledge of trading systems.
