Asbestos Surveyor Role Overview

Mitie is seeking an experienced Asbestos Surveyor to join our team. As an Asbestos Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting asbestos sampling, reinspections, management, refurbishment, and demolition surveys on a wide range of domestic, commercial, and industrial properties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct asbestos sampling and surveys in accordance with HSG264 and company procedures
  • Collect site data and transport asbestos samples to UKAS accredited laboratories
  • Complete asbestos survey reports and drawings using company software
  • Build and maintain client relationships, providing specialist advice and technical support as needed
  • Liaise with Asbestos Surveying Quality, Contracts, Projects Managers, and Supervisor as required

Requirements:

  • BOHS P402 qualification or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of experience post-qualification
  • Flexible approach to commute and out-of-hours work
  • Ability to travel to various sites throughout the UK and at times offshore
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office packages and Asbestos data collection software
