About the Role:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Laboratory Support Assistant to join our team at Pertemps Cardiff. As a Laboratory Support Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our laboratory services, including sample registration, order management, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily early morning sample registration onto the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
- Import sample point data and enter results onto LIMS.
- Organize and dispatch samples to be outsourced.
- Prepare sample containers for re-use, ensuring they are clean and decontaminated.
- Manage sample bottle orders from operational monitoring team and ensure adequate orders are dispatched to the samplers on time.
- Provide administrative and customer service support for the analytical activities of the laboratory, including procurement ordering and responding to customer queries.
Requirements:
- Ability to work in a high-output routine environment with delivery to tight deadlines.
- Physically able to perform demanding repetitive lifting and carrying duties.
- Excellent customer service and awareness skills.
- Maths and English Language GCSEs.
- Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to write clearly and communicate confidently at all levels.
- Ability to work either in isolation or as part of a team to tight deadlines.
- High level of computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and document management systems.
