Overview of the Apprenticeship

Responsibilities

Engage in safe practices within a cutting-edge laboratory setting equipped with advanced technology.
Uphold exceptional cleanliness while adhering to relevant safety, environmental, and risk management protocols.
Implement quality assurance procedures to fulfill the standards required.
Prepare for laboratory assignments utilizing suitable scientific methodologies, techniques, and processes such as chemistry, oxygen analysis, carbon measurement, and particle size evaluation.
Operate designated instruments and laboratory apparatus, including calibration tasks.
Employ scientific methods for data visualization. Analyze, interpret, and assess data, identifying results that necessitate further exploration, with guidance from supervisors.
Generate trustworthy and precise data while maintaining thorough records of laboratory activities and outcomes.

Additional Insights

The apprentice will receive support from level 3 up to Higher Apprenticeship qualifications.

Qualifications

Educational Background

Candidates should have either completed full-time college studies in PE02 Engineering or obtained A Levels, demonstrating a keen interest in pursuing a career in a laboratory or quality-focused environment within a manufacturing context.

Wall Colmonoy is dedicated to facilitating training and development opportunities, including support for Degree-level studies for suitable candidates.

Day release and fully funded educational programs are available for the selected individual.
A passion for science-related subjects is essential, with a pathway to build a career in a laboratory or quality assurance setting.
Strong analytical and interpretative skills are required.

A willingness to learn and acquire new skills, backed by the experienced team at Wall Colmonoy.

Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

Attention to detail is crucial.

Adherence to safety and quality standards is mandatory.
