About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Rheumatology to join our team at NHS Fife.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical care to patients with rheumatic diseases, including inflammatory arthritis and autoimmune connective tissue diseases.
  • Contribute to the development of the Fife Rheumatology Service, including the implementation of new treatments and therapies.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in the education and training of junior doctors and other healthcare professionals.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and protocols.
Requirements
  • Full GMC Registration and a license to practise.
  • Eligibility for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register.
  • Higher specialist training leading to CCT or within 6 months of confirmed entry from the date of interview.
  • Portfolio Pathway (formerly known as CESR - Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration) route doctors are only eligible to apply for a substantive consultant post once it has been awarded.
  • Non-UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training.
