Job Overview

Prospero Teaching is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join a Good Ofsted rated SEMH School in Blandford Forum, Dorset. The successful candidate will work with pupils who have been identified with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs) helping to improve their lives while enhancing attendance and attitudes towards learning.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be working with an excellent team to provide support to pupils with SEMH/ADHD/Autism. You will be responsible for creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters social, emotional, and academic growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized support to students with SEMH/ADHD/Autism
  • Assist teachers in lesson planning and delivery
  • Help to promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Support students with behavior management and emotional regulation

Requirements

  • Previous experience in education, ideally within the SEN sector
  • Ability to work with challenging behaviors
  • Passion for working with children with SEMH
  • Proactive approach to supporting students
  • Level 3 qualifications or ELSA qualifications
