Senior Land Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Land Development Specialist to join our team at Neuratek Search. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, negotiating, and acquiring land suitable for solar, wind, or other renewable energy projects.
About the RoleYou will play a critical role in building strong relationships with landowners, navigating complex legal and regulatory landscapes, and executing timely land deals to drive the success of our projects. Your expertise in UK land law, planning regulations, and environmental regulations will be instrumental in ensuring compliance and optimizing project returns.
Key Responsibilities- Identify potential project sites across the UK, focusing on areas with high renewable energy potential.
- Conduct thorough due diligence on identified sites to assess feasibility and potential risks.
- Negotiate and execute land purchase agreements, leases, and easements with landowners, leveraging your exceptional negotiation skills to secure favourable terms.
- Manage the entire land acquisition process, from initial contact to closing, ensuring seamless execution and timely completion.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with landowners, fostering open communication and addressing concerns effectively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal counsel, to review and negotiate complex legal documents and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Obtain necessary consents and permissions from local planning authorities and other relevant bodies, driving project progress and growth.
- Lead and mentor a team of land acquisition specialists, assigning tasks, setting deadlines, and monitoring progress to achieve collective goals.
- Conduct financial analysis to evaluate the economic feasibility of land acquisition deals, informing strategic decisions and optimising project returns.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of success in land acquisition and development.
- Strong understanding of UK land law, planning regulations, and environmental regulations.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and navigate complex landscapes.
- Experience working with GIS software and other land analysis tools, as well as familiarity with the renewable energy industry, particularly solar and wind.
As a Senior Land Development Specialist at Neuratek Search, you can expect a competitive salary of £55,000 per annum, plus quarterly commission and annual company bonuses. Our hybrid role allows for up to 2 days a week of remote work, providing a healthy work-life balance.
