Service Charge Accounts Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Charge Accounts professional to join our finance team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing the rent and service charge accounts, including calculating charges, managing rent statements, and monitoring payments.

This role plays a crucial part in maintaining the financial health of the organization by ensuring accurate and timely recording of rent and service charges and rent collections. You will work closely with the financial accountant and be part of a team of 9 finance professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage rent and service charge accounts, including calculating charges and monitoring payments
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of rent and service charges and rent collections
  • Work closely with the financial accountant and finance team
  • Provide excellent customer service to tenants and stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of financial management and accounting principles
  • Experience in a finance or rents and service charges role, preferably within a housing association or similar environment
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of rent and service charge calculation, housing regulations, and financial management practices in the context of social housing
