Join HammondCare as we form an exciting new internal Allied Health Care Team to work in Residential Care.

About the Role

  • As a Physiotherapy Specialist, you will deliver resident-centred, evidence-based care in an environment that reduces excess disability, promotes meaningful engagement in life and strives to implement continuous quality improvement consistent with the values and ethics of HammondCare and international best practice.
  • You will participate as a member of the HammondCare team in the application of the Mission and values to the pursuit of its objectives in a person-centred, continuous quality improvement work environment.
  • Collaborate closely with residents, their representatives, staff and the broader Allied Health Team to assess functional care needs, set care goals, and provide treatment and interventions to deliver the best possible outcomes for residents.
  • Provide effective and timely exercise and purposeful movement opportunities to residents and the appropriate support and advice to their representatives and the HammondCare team.

About You

  • A tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy and registration as a Physiotherapist with AHPRA.
  • Practical experience or sound knowledge in Aged Care.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal).
  • Demonstrated organisation and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
