Job Description:

Jameson Legal is seeking an experienced environmental law specialist to join our planning team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

The successful candidate will work closely with market-leading Partners and gain exposure to high-quality work, including handling a wealth of planning matters and providing advice on all aspects of planning and highways law.

About the Team:

Our planning team has advised on some of the largest development and infrastructure schemes in the country, covering a full range of asset classes, including tall buildings, major infrastructure, transport, mixed-use development, retail, leisure, and residential driven regeneration.

About the Work:

The ideal candidate will have upwards of 4 years' PQE in handling planning matters and experience from other top-tier city or regional teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Handling a wealth of planning matters
  • Providing advice on all aspects of planning and highways law, procurement, compulsory purchase, state aid, best value, and judicial review
  • Working on historic preservation, environmental review of discretionary land use actions, and related issues

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • Qualification in England & Wales or another commonwealth jurisdiction
  • Upwards of 4 years' PQE in handling planning matters
  • Experience from other top-tier city or regional teams
  • A sharp eye for detail
  • A genuine interest in furthering your planning career
  • The capacity to commit to a 12-month fixed-term contract

Salary:

The estimated salary for this role is £155,000 per annum, depending on experience.
