We are looking for a skilled Clinical Coder to join our team at the NHS. As a key member of our Clinical Coding department, you will be responsible for accurately assigning clinical codes to reflect patients' diagnosis and operative procedures.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and improving data accuracy. You will work collaboratively as part of a team to ensure accurate data is collected and maintained, using your knowledge of ICD10 and OPCS 4 classifications.

We estimate the salary for this position to be around £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience. The successful applicant will also have access to extensive training and development opportunities, including paid mandatory training and professional career pathways.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assign clinical codes using ICD10 and OPCS 4 classifications
  • Analyse complex clinical information from patient health records
  • Supervise trainee coders and provide guidance and support as needed
Requirements
  • Educated to GCSE Level Grade C or above (or equivalent)
  • Attainment of National Clinical Coding Qualification (NCCQ)
  • Experience working in a healthcare environment, preferably in clinical coding
