Clinical Lead for Cardiac Catheter Labs

Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced nurse to join our Cardiology Department as a Clinical Lead for Cardiac Catheter Labs. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and contributing to the clinical and managerial leadership of the cath labs nursing team.
About the Role
The post holder will be expected to act as a clinical leader, acting up as a role model and expert practitioner within acute cardiology and the cath labs. They will also be responsible for liaising, guiding and advising the multidisciplinary team and external agencies in the provision of optimum patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and contribute to the clinical and managerial leadership of the cath labs nursing team
- Act as a clinical leader, acting up as a role model and expert practitioner within acute cardiology and the cath labs
- Liaise, guide and advise the multidisciplinary team and external agencies in the provision of optimum patient care
- Assist in the auditing of clinical standards of care within the clinical area
- Responsible for the training and education of new cardiac catheter lab staff and existing staff departmental training
Requirements
The successful candidate will require at least 2 years previous cath lab skills in interventional procedures, cardiac devices and electrophysiology procedures in the cardiac cath lab. They will also need to have excellent communication skills and a commitment to work flexibly within a multi-disciplinary team.
