Tooling Project Engineer

As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for managing the design and development of new tooling for our manufacturing facilities. This will involve working closely with our production team to ensure that our tools are optimized for efficiency and quality.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the design and development of new tooling, including high-pressure die casting tools, trim/clip tools, and spray heads.
- Collaborate with our production team to ensure that our tools are optimized for efficiency and quality.
- Develop and implement design for manufacture (DFM) principles to evaluate product designs and improve manufacturing processes.
- Manage tooling vendors and suppliers, including overseas travel as required.
- Produce 2D CAD product, tooling, fixture, and equipment drawings to support manufacturing, quality, and engineering activities.
- Significant experience in tooling, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in 2D/3D CAD, including design and project management.
- Expert knowledge of tooling, including die casting, stamping, and plastic injection moulding.
- Knowledge of robot end effectors, jigs, and fixtures would be beneficial.
- Project management, supplier vendor management, and effective communication skills are essential.
