">About the Role

This exciting opportunity for an Energy Policy Analyst will offer the successful candidate a chance to start or further develop their career in the energy industry, building knowledge of energy markets, regulation, and policy. Our Policy and Regulation Team represents and promotes the interests of Energia Group with policymakers, regulators, government bodies, system operators, and trade associations across Renewables, Flexible Generation, and Customer Solutions businesses.

We are looking for someone who is commercially focused, well-organized, has a high attention to detail, and is an excellent communicator. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in a policy, economics, legal, or advocacy role and a strong understanding of STEM, Economics, Business, or Law. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this role is €60,000 - €80,000, depending on experience, plus 25 days' holiday per year, performance-based bonuses, pension scheme, fully paid private medical insurance, and other benefits.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Day-to-day, here's what your new role would look like:

  • Horizon scan and monitor market, regulatory, and policy developments across the island of Ireland, GB, and the EU that affect the business units.
  • Review and respond to consultations, proposed market modifications, policy reforms, and legislative change.
  • Work with relevant internal stakeholders to understand implications of potential planned regulatory and policy changes.
  • Represent Energia on external trade associations, industry forums, and workshops.
