Welcome Host

The Clock Inn, Chideock seeks a charismatic Welcome Host to join our front-of-house team. As a Welcome Host, you will be responsible for creating a memorable experience for our guests from arrival to departure.

1. Welcome and greet guests as they arrive, setting the tone for a wonderful dining experience.
2. Manage seating arrangements and reservations, ensuring seamless transitions between courses.
3. Offer menu recommendations and insights to enhance the guest's experience.
4. Take orders accurately and communicate them to the kitchen or bar staff in a timely manner.
5. Ensure that all food safety and hygiene protocols are maintained during food preparation and service.
6. Support catering events and guarantee that all logistical aspects are met.
7. Participate in bartending duties when necessary, preparing cocktails and serving beverages with a smile.
8. Preserve the cleanliness and organisation of the front-of-house area, including dining tables, bars, and waiting areas.
9. Address guest inquiries or concerns with professionalism and efficiency, aiming to resolve issues promptly.

• No prior experience required; comprehensive training provided.
• Possess a sunny disposition, coupled with excellent communication skills.
• Able to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining focus on details.

• Hourly rate: £8.60-£11.44 (approximately 30,000 - 40,000 annual salary)
• Weekly working hours: 10 – 20
• Work arrangement: On-site
