We are currently seeking a skilled Writer to join our team and contribute to the delivery of our services. As a Writer, you will be responsible for converting audio and video recordings into written documents with precision and accuracy.

The role involves servicing our clients in Parliament, attending sessions in the House of Lords and Commons, and providing transcripts for high-level, high-profile, and technical meetings and events.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Attend, listen to audio and video recordings, and transcribe spoken content accurately
  • Ensure all transcripts adhere to our formatting guidelines and quality standards
  • Review and edit transcripts for clarity, grammar, and style
  • Meet deadlines and manage workload efficiently
  • Communicate effectively with our Sales, PM, and Editor teams

Requirements:

  • English/Humanities degree
  • Excellent listening skills and attention to detail
  • Strong command of the English language, including grammar and punctuation
  • Previous transcription experience is preferred
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Demonstrably reliable internet connection
