Role Overview

This global programme management role at Ipsos UK is a crucial part of our campaign tracking programme, which spans multiple workstreams across 18 markets. As we aim to expand the programme into new markets in 2024, we are seeking a highly skilled Project Director to implement global governance, effective ways of working, efficient processes, and operational excellence that can be scaled.

This role will be offered on an initial 1-year fixed-term contract with the possibility to extend or go permanent. As a Project Director, you will be part of the Brand and Comms Project Management team, managing the PM team aligned to the Creative Excellence service line.

Your key account is a Streaming Service Provider. You will be leading the programme, alongside the Client Service Directors, and supporting its expansion from 18 markets to a global study.

Working closely with the Client Programme Director, Client Services, and Research & Data Solutions teams, you will oversee the Governance and End-to-End process. You will ensure that we are effectively managing the multiple stakeholders and teams across Ipsos, the client, and suppliers.

In addition, you will ensure that the project runs efficiently to specification and to budget. You'll be joining a team who are passionate about improving processes and have a creative way of challenging the status quo to find smarter ways of working.

Key Responsibilities

  • Programme design, management, and execution: working in partnership with the client on expectations and anticipated outcomes
  • Ultimate accountability for the set-up and design of the PM team
  • Responsible for change management (the programme is modular and complex)
  • Ensure project teams deliver regular updates for all studies/waves and are proactively looking for solutions that the updates are highlighting
  • Manage the process for delivering complex fieldwork techniques, sampling approaches
  • Use and direct others in the application of advanced project management techniques and tools
  • Designing efficient and effective ways of working and implementing them across the project and client service teams
  • Develop a communication plan, working closely with global Ipsos Hubs and Operational teams
  • Ensure clear and regular communication across the wider Hubs/Project teams
  • Oversee the work of junior team members on the programme; ensure quality of outputs
  • Lead and direct knowledge transfer, personal development of team members, and achievement of team goals
  • Build enduring client partnerships that stand the test of time. Working with clients at any level
  • Lead costings and provide input on pricing decisions (based on project actuals and experience)
  • Ensure client satisfaction and represent Ipsos in a professional and ethical manner at all times

Requirements

  • Quantitative project management experience of large multi-market programmes at Director level
  • Drive and ambition, seeking opportunities to expand your knowledge (and that of the wider team), and continually drive improvement
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Able to vary communication style across audiences
  • Strong client management skills. Able to bring value to client meetings and provide a trusted point of contact for clients when it comes to project implementation and execution
  • Strong organisational skills – demonstrate flexibility, with proven ability to juggle multiple tasks in order to achieve team and business requirements
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to disseminate complex information
  • Confidence with managing budgets and finances
  • Be a positive thinker with a can-do, solution-focused attitude
  • Good team player
  • Proficient in using all Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience of working with offshoring teams and Global operational teams
  • Enthusiasm for the role, team, and life in general
