**Job Title:** Financial Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Financial Operations Manager to join our team at Hays Accountancy & Finance. As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for managing procurement activities and financial operations for a prominent organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the procurement process and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement strategic procurement plans to drive cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate financial risks.
  • Prepare management accounts, including monthly reporting, financial analysis, budget analysis, and cash flow management.
  • Assist in year-end accounts preparation and coordinate financial information gathering and audits.
  • Complete monthly funder claims, including claims submission, liaison with program managers, fund management, and funding forecasting.
  • Manage payroll checks, including payroll review, data validation, HR collaboration, finance staff support, backup support, and payroll system migration.
  • Lead line management of staff, including team leadership, ongoing feedback, performance reviews and development, workload and resource management, and project financial leadership.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA) with at least three years of experience in a fast-paced finance role.
  • At least three years of experience in a finance role, with a strong focus on procurement and management.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across departments.
  • Proven track record in managing staff, driving team performance, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
