Design Manager Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to join our team at Randstad Construction and Property. As a Design Manager, you will play a key role in the success of our projects, working closely with our clients, consultants, and subcontractors to deliver high-quality designs that meet their needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design process for our projects, ensuring that designs are creative, innovative, and meet the client's requirements.
  • Collaborate with our estimating and commercial teams to develop detailed designs and cost estimates for our projects.
  • Manage the information flow between clients, consultants, subcontractors, and our internal teams to ensure that designs are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Take the lead on framework schemes, working closely with our project managers and site delivery teams to ensure that designs are implemented effectively.
  • Manage and implement the design on site, taking responsibility for managing RFIs, change processes, CDM regulations, and other critical aspects of the project.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Design Manager or in a similar role, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality designs and projects.
  • Experience working on schemes above £10 million, with a strong understanding of D&B projects and framework negotiations.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, with a strong focus on delivering results and meeting deadlines.
