Job Description

Innovate is seeking an experienced Materials Team Leader to oversee the daily activities of our Materials department, ensuring efficient material flow and optimal stock management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a small dedicated team, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless collaboration and high-quality performance.
  • Daily Operations: Manage the day-to-day operations, including stock control, material booking, equipment operation, and coordination with suppliers for orders and delivery lead times.
  • Stock Management: Optimize inventory levels, ensure accurate records, and coordinate with suppliers to maintain optimal stock levels, enabling timely production and dispatch of completed goods.
  • Internal Relationships: Work closely with internal teams, including supply chain, purchasing, and production, to ensure effective communication and collaborative efforts in achieving business objectives.
  • MRP System: Be responsible for updating the MRP system to optimize its use, reduce the risk of human error, and streamline processes for efficient stock flow.
  • Safety and Compliance: Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a culture of responsibility and accountability.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, and enhance efficiency, driving innovation and excellence within the Materials department.

About You:

  • You have proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment or hold a senior role with a desire to move into a leadership position.
  • Strong knowledge of materials management and recycling processes, with a solid understanding of industry best practices.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with SAP (preferred) or similar ERP systems, with the ability to leverage technology to drive process improvements.
