Staffline Express is seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis. The ideal candidate will work day shifts, Monday to Friday, with no weekends required unless overtime is available.

The successful candidate will support the manufacturing process by working efficiently within a team structure. They will be responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical machinery across the site, ensuring timely completion of tasks and accurate recording of issues.

Key Requirements:
  • A minimum of time-served experience as a Mechanical Engineer in a manufacturing environment
  • Prior maintenance experience, preferably with City & Guilds qualification or equivalent
  • Excellent fitting skills, including welding and fabrication
  • Experience in planned maintenance, hydraulic and pneumatic fault finding
  • Strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Detailed attention to prevent errors and ensure quality outcomes
Your Responsibilities as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:
  • Perform reactive maintenance on various mechanical equipment across the site
  • Effectively record and monitor engineering/production-based issues
  • Troubleshoot problems and propose improvements to prevent recurrence
  • Communicate progress to Production Managers/Team Leaders
  • Complete scheduled maintenance tasks
  • Investigate plant/equipment faults, perform repairs, and report status in the maintenance system
