Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Security Director to join our team in Glasgow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the IT Security team, ensuring all aspects are running smoothly.
  • Oversee IT Security projects, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables are of high quality.
  • Provide strategic input into the company's IT strategy, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing effective solutions.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive IT security strategies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Lead incident response efforts, investigating and resolving security breaches in a timely manner.
  • Evaluate system security, recommending improvements to maintain a high level of protection.
  • Ensure data handling and transfer practices align with legal and company guidelines.
  • Monitor and control IT security budgets, optimizing resource allocation for maximum impact.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in IT Security leadership roles, preferably within a globally distributed environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of network architecture, cloud computing, and data protection legislation (e.g. GDPR).
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coach and mentor team members.
  • Experience with project management methodologies and frameworks, such as ISO 27001.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
