**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team at ZipRecruiter. As an integral part of our engineering team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all electrical and instrumentation aspects of a subsea cable factory project.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Coordinate E&I design works and implementation
  • Quality and Compliance Checks: Inspect and evaluate the quality of electrical and instrumentation installations, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution: Provide on-the-spot technical support to troubleshoot and resolve electrical or instrumentation issues, coordinating with other engineering teams and contractors to minimize delays
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain thorough documentation of calibration records, technical reports, system modifications, and compliance certifications. Communicate progress and issues to the Project Manager
  • Safety Protocols and Risk Management: Conduct regular safety checks, risk assessments, and enforce safety protocols for all E&I activities. Educate on-site teams on electrical and instrumentation safety practices

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in electrical and instrumentation engineering within industrial or construction environments, preferably with hands-on site experience
  • Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH, or any specialized instrumentation and calibration certifications are advantageous
  • Proficiency in E&I design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, PLC programming tools), knowledge of calibration, electrical codes, process automation, and instrumentation controls
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
