Job Title: Plastic Pipe Fabricator

We are seeking an experienced Plastic Pipe Fabricator to join our team in Darlington. As a key member of our Water Technologies business team, you will be responsible for fabricating and forming pipework and manifolds using hand tools, machinery, and other equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fabricate pipework from customer samples and/or engineer's drawings to client and industry specifications.
  • Undertake maintenance/repair work in existing pipework systems.
  • Lay out, assemble, fabricate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair piping systems carrying water, steam, chemicals, and fuel in heating, cooling, lubricating, and other process piping systems.
  • Safe use of hand tools, machinery, and other equipment.
  • Assist other disciplines when required.
  • Accurately record man-hours.
  • Carry out all other tasks as requested within the post holder's appropriate skill set.
Requirements:
  • Time served and fully qualified, with experience working with multiple plastics including Polypropylene, Polyethylene, PVCU, and PVDF.
  • Experience in plastic fusion methods such as IR fusion is preferred but not essential.
  • Possession of MSRA, Manual Handling, Abrasive Wheels, and Asbestos awareness certificates is preferred but not essential.
  • Experience in Chemical Dosing would be advantageous.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
