We are seeking an experienced Plastic Pipe Fabricator to join our team at Ross-shire Engineering Limited. As a key member of our Chemical and Biological Treatment team, you will be responsible for fabricating and forming pipework and manifolds using hand tools, machinery, and other equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Fabricate pipework from customer samples and/or engineer's drawings to client and industry specifications.
- Undertake maintenance/repair work in existing pipework systems.
- Lay out, assemble, fabricate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair piping systems carrying water, steam, chemicals, and fuel in heating, cooling, lubricating, and other process piping systems.
- Safe use of hand tools, machinery, and other equipment.
- Assist other disciplines when required.
- Accurately record man-hours.
- Carry out all other tasks as requested within the post holder's appropriate skill set.
- Time served and fully qualified, with experience working with multiple plastics including Polypropylene, Polyethylene, PVCU, and PVDF.
- Experience in plastic fusion methods such as IR fusion is preferred but not essential.
- Possession of MSRA, Manual Handling, Abrasive Wheels, and Asbestos awareness certificates is preferred but not essential.
- Experience in Chemical Dosing would be advantageous.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
