About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Business Administration and Systems Team Leader to join our team in Tewkesbury. As a key member of our administration team, you will be responsible for managing a team of administrators, providing line management and being responsible for your team members' work and performance.

The successful candidate will have significant experience of managing administrative functions and systems, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build relationships and work with colleagues across different areas. You will also have experience of undertaking project management and customer-focused business planning and delivery.

In this full-time role, you will be responsible for managing the team to deliver a comprehensive administration function to the Tewkesbury Locality Team, ensuring that efficient, effective, and consistent administrative standards and procedures are implemented and maintained across the service.

You will also support on projects and work with other Locality Admin Leads to develop administration strategies, policies, and ways of working to suit our changing organisation. You will have to deliver change as a part of service administration team, supporting the business manager, undertaking project work, designing, developing, and delivering plans, policies, and ways of working to suit our changing organisation including the optimal usage of corporate and IT systems.

The post is based at Tewkesbury Borough Council Offices in Tewkesbury. We offer flexible working with a mix of office and home working. We have free onsite car parking.

About You:

We are looking for someone who has experience supervising or managing a team. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and policy context appropriate to this post.
  • Significant experience of managing administrative functions and systems.
  • Experience of line management, supervision, delegation, and performance assessment.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and work with colleagues across different areas.
  • Passion, a great attitude, and cares about making a difference.
  • Experience working in a busy office environment.
  • Customer-focused business planning and delivery.
  • Experience of undertaking project management.
