Job Title: Senior Professional System Administrator

Job Summary:

0201 CSC Computer Sciences Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Senior Professional System Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing support for moderately complex technical and team management activities related to system and database administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform moderately complex systems and database administration, monitoring and tuning systems to ensure optimum performance.
  • Oversee software installations and upgrades, as well as related software packages.
  • Collect and review system data for capacity planning purposes, analyzing capacity data and developing capacity plans for enterprise-wide systems.
  • Support the design and configuration of complex system landscapes.
  • Support complex data/media recoverability through system backups and database archive operations.
  • Oversee and recommend database solutions and enhancements to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Apply support packages/patches to maintain system integrity.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation to ensure current information.
  • Interact with client management to answer questions and resolve complex system issues.
  • Provide leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience working with complex systems administration, database administration, and landscape maintenance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment:

  • Office environment.
  • May require on-call, shift, weekend, and evening work.
