Job Title: Senior Professional System Administrator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Professional System Administrator to join our team at 0201 CSC Computer Sciences Ltd. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing support for moderately complex technical and team management activities related to system and database administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform moderately complex systems and database administration, monitoring and tuning systems to ensure optimum performance.
  • Oversee software installations and upgrades, and related software packages, ensuring seamless integration and minimal downtime.
  • Collect and review system data for capacity planning purposes, analyzing capacity data and developing plans for enterprise-wide systems.
  • Support the design and configuration of complex system landscapes, ensuring scalability and reliability.
  • Support complex data/media recoverability through system backups and database archive operations, planning and coordinating data refresh strategies.
  • Oversee and recommend database solutions and enhancements to improve system reliability and performance.
  • Apply support packages/patches to maintain system integrity, ensuring up-to-date knowledge of the latest technologies.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, ensuring current and accurate information for team members.
  • Interact with client management to address complex system issues, providing expert guidance and support.
  • Provide leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Six or more years of experience in a client-server environment, with a focus on complex systems administration and database management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results.

Work Environment:

  • Office environment, with occasional on-call, shift, weekend, and evening work required.
