The Position

We are seeking an experienced aerodynamicist to join our Aerodynamics department in Grove, Oxfordshire. This role offers a great opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their career and contribute to the development of our future F1 race cars.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop innovative aerodynamic concepts using advanced tools and technologies to optimize the performance of our race cars.
  • Mentor junior aerodynamicists to help them develop their skills and expertise.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within the aerodynamics department.
  • Work with the team to identify and implement new tools and technologies to increase development rate.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of Wind Tunnel runs to ensure maximum accuracy and efficiency.
  • Analyze and report on CFD and Wind Tunnel results to establish robust aerodynamic solutions.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships across the department and wider team through clear communication and information sharing.

Requirements

  • Experience working in aerodynamics in a Formula 1 team.
  • Experience with CFD and Wind Tunnel techniques.
  • Advanced understanding of aerodynamic fundamentals.
  • Skilled in using CAD and CFD software.
  • Ability to drive outcomes under strict deadlines using problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrable experience in understanding the bigger picture, including in-depth analysis of results, correlation investigations, and novel use of data.
  • Strong influential ability to get buy-in and drive collaboration across departments.
  • Willingness to challenge current methods and theories.
