Questech Recruitment Ltd is currently looking for a skilled Automation Equipment Specialist to join our team. As a household name in the UK, our client is seeking a reliable individual to cover various shifts and ensure the availability and performance of automation assets.
The Role
As an Automation Equipment Specialist, you will be responsible for performing maintenance tasks, including preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance. You will work closely with the Engineering Manager, Maintenance Team Leader, and Engineering Team Coaches to ensure the efficient operation of automation equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the availability and performance of automation assets;
- Identify and resolve issues related to automation equipment, prioritizing corrective actions to meet operational requirements;
- Monitor equipment performance and collaborate with operational stakeholders to improve automation outputs;
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects, conceptualization to implementation, to enhance machinery performance in the Hub/Mail Centre;
- Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team to achieve common goals.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An ONC Electrical Engineering qualification or equivalent;
- Extensive experience in maintaining automation equipment, preferably with PLC knowledge;
- A solid understanding of Health & Safety legislation;
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex issues effectively;
- A full UK driving license for occasional site travel.
Compensation and Benefits
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £51,051 per year, plus additional night shift allowance and weekend supplement payments where applicable. Overtime is available most weeks. As this is a pool role, you may work various shifts, including weekends, on an ad hoc basis.
