We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Terry Parris Associates. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for providing engineering support and project control on a range of products, including specialist equipment for Cleanrooms, Laboratories, and Hospitals.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop mechanical systems and components for Cleanroom and Laboratory equipment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets customer requirements and industry standards
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, drawings, and bills of materials
- Conduct design reviews and ensure compliance with company standards and regulations
- Support production and manufacturing teams with design and engineering expertise
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of experience in product design and development, preferably in Cleanroom and Laboratory equipment
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software, including SolidWorks and Autodesk Inventor
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
This is a full-time position, working 39 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, with a 30-minute lunch break. The company operates a Workplace Pension Scheme and offers 20 working days paid holiday in addition to Bank and Public holidays each calendar year.
