Senior Construction Operations Manager - Public Sector Infrastructure Project Lead

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Operations Manager to join our client, a large Public Sector Organisation, in their search for a skilled professional to lead public sector infrastructure projects. As part of the portfolio of services outlined, this role will be responsible for managing and developing projects, implementing structures, strategy, policy, procedures, and processes for these services.

The ideal candidate will have a Degree in Project Management or a Construction-related discipline and a minimum of three years' experience in construction-related Project Management. Alternatively, they may hold corporate membership of a relevant Professional Institute and have at least two years' experience in construction-related Project Management, or a minimum of five years' experience working in construction-related project management within the last ten years.

This is a challenging opportunity to work on significant ongoing change and harmonisation processes across Infrastructure Capital Development Division and the Minor Capital Programme Delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop projects as part of the portfolio of services outlined
  • Implement structures, strategy, policy, procedures, and processes for these services
  • Take part in transformational change and ongoing liaison with the Department of Education (DE) to ensure planning and delivery of Minor capital projects complies with DE capital standards
Requirements
  • Hold a Degree in Project Management or a Construction-related discipline
  • Minimum of three years' experience in construction-related Project Management, or corporate membership of a relevant Professional Institute, or five years' experience in a paid capacity working in construction-related project management
  • Demonstrable experience in the use of AutoCAD and knowledge of the Northern Ireland Building Regulations
Salary and Benefits

£40,428 per annum, plus discount benefits.
