About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team, providing care that is tailored to the individual needs of our patients. As a Bank Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering care independently, but will also have the support of a qualified nurse on-call for guidance and support.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high standards of care to patients with complex needs, including those with continuing care needs, in their own homes or community settings.
- Assess patient care needs and develop, implement, and evaluate programmes of care with the patient and their family.
- Produce contingency plans required within the package, ensuring that all staff within the team are aware of these plans, practice, and procedures as they relate to the care of the patient and their equipment.
- Complete and evaluate risk assessments for patients and staff as required, with regular review as new information is received or changes occur.
- Undertake and be responsible for the practical teaching of unregistered staff, with completion of relevant documentation, identifying relevant teaching packages and patient-specific skills frameworks.
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (RN Child, Adult, or Learning Disability).
- Post-registration experience, preferably in PICU/ITU/Community Care.
- Complex seizure management and Trachy/vent/gastro care skills.
