Job Title: Property Repair Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Property Repair Specialist to join our facilities team at the University of Kent. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out property repairs, maintenance, and improvements across the University campus.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction. As a key member of our facilities team, you will work closely with other departments to ensure that our properties are well-maintained and meet the needs of our students, staff, and visitors.

About the Role:
  • Carry out property repairs, maintenance, and improvements across the University campus.
  • Assess and prioritize repair tasks, using your knowledge of building techniques and materials.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure that our properties are well-maintained and meet the needs of our students, staff, and visitors.
Requirements:
  • General education to include English and Maths.
  • Relevant trade qualifications, such as City & Guilds or NVQ level 3.
  • Proven experience in property repair and maintenance.
  • Good communication skills, including written and spoken English, as well as demonstrating a full understanding of following instructions.

The salary for this position is £28,000 - £33,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a range of benefits, including hybrid working options, 43 days' leave per year, and an excellent pension scheme with generous employer contributions.
