SISS Rail Maintenance Technician Role

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for carrying out reactive and planned preventative maintenance activities on SISS (Station Information and Security Systems) across our Train Operating Companies contracts. This role requires strong technical skills and the ability to work independently as part of a wider 24/7 operation.

SISS is critical to ensuring the travelling public are correctly informed and safe as they commute across our customer's rail networks; our maintenance service is essential to the functioning of these systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Daily reactive maintenance activities across SISS and Telephony systems.
  2. Daily, weekly, monthly and annual planned maintenance activities as defined by the Team Leader.
  3. Remote monitoring of all systems to identify issues and implement fixes.
  4. Testing and fault finding on equipment, systems and associated infrastructure cabling.
  5. Undertaking of technical investigations and audits.
Requirements:

The successful candidate will have previous experience of undertaking maintenance activities, both corrective and planned, to ensure effective restoration/repair of customer systems and ensure all associated processes and reporting requirements are followed.
