Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced SEN Support Professional to join our team at NextGen Teachers in Leeds, LS11. This full-time / temporary to permanent contract role offers an exciting opportunity to work with children with SEN needs, particularly autism. With your passion for supporting students with SEN and excellent communication skills, you will be an asset to our team.

Salary: The estimated annual salary for this position is £25,000 - £35,000 depending on experience.

Job Description:
In this role, you will provide emotional support, manage challenging behavior, and collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for students. Your strong background in supporting children with SEN needs and excellent communication skills will enable you to build effective relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. Key responsibilities include:
  • Providing emotional support to students with SEN needs
  • Managing challenging behavior in a positive and constructive manner
  • Collaborating with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualised support plans
  • Communicating effectively with parents and carers to ensure a consistent approach to supporting students

Required Skills and Qualifications:
This role requires a minimum Level 3 qualification, previous experience as a Behaviour / Pastoral Support in a Secondary school, an Enhanced DBS, full-time availability, 2x professional references, and the right to work in the UK.
