Job DescriptionRole Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Gastroenterology Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for providing expert care to patients with gastrointestinal disorders.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement effective treatment plans, provide education and support to patients and their families, and contribute to the development of new medical research and innovations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert care to patients with gastrointestinal disorders, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of conditions such as Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, and liver disease.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, taking into account patient preferences, needs, and goals.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, physiotherapists, and dietitians, to provide comprehensive care.
  • Conduct regular reviews and assessments to ensure optimal patient outcomes and make adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to strict confidentiality and data protection protocols.
Requirements
  • Eligibility to register with the General Medical Council (GMC) and hold a valid license to practice medicine in the UK.
  • Completion of a higher degree in gastroenterology or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior clinical role, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of medical research and innovations.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, patients, and their families.
  • Able to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to strict confidentiality and data protection protocols.
Salary

The salary for this role is £120,000 - £180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
