About the Role

As a gastroenterology specialist at the George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive gastroenterology services, including direct access endoscopy, fast-track referral services, and support for colorectal multi-disciplinary teams.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing ongoing responsibility for patients under your care;
  • Supporting existing gastroenterology services and developing subspecialty gastroenterology interests;
  • Participating in endoscopy training and developing faculty training skills;

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to use tact, diplomacy, negotiation and persuasion as well as authority;
  • Ability to be a flexible team member;
