About the Role

This position involves working with children aged 11-19 years who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The ideal candidate will be an experienced PE Teacher with a proven track record in delivering engaging lessons that cater to individual needs.

The school is an independent specialist day school nestled in rural surroundings, providing a supportive environment for students with SEMH needs, communication and interaction challenges, and associated diagnoses such as ADHD, ODD, attachment disorders, and specific learning difficulties (SpLD).

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver creative and differentiated PE lessons that meet the unique needs of students
  • Integrate Functional Skills into PE lessons to enhance student development
  • Maintain strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment
Requirements
  • A recognized teaching qualification (Certificate in Education / PGCE / QTS)
  • Experience working with SEMH needs, ADHD, ASD, or other additional needs
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging PE lessons that cater to individual needs
  • Own vehicle or ability to travel to the site
Salary and Benefits

$43,000 - $55,000 per annum, depending on experience. Market-leading rates of pay and a range of benefits make this an attractive opportunity for the right candidate.
