Job Opportunity: Graduate Teaching Assistant - Aspiring Teacher Programme

Role Overview

We are seeking a bright and ambitious Graduate Teaching Assistant to join our team as part of the Aspiring Teacher Programme. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate with a passion for teaching to gain hands-on experience and develop their skills in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support students in KS3 & KS4 (Aged 11-16) in a mixed comprehensive secondary school
  • Work with Sixth Formers (KS5) during exam preparation
  • Collaborate with the school's SENCO, Director for Learning, Educational Psychologist, Counsellor, and other professionals to provide comprehensive support
  • Participate in excellent training and shadowing opportunities to enhance teaching skills

Requirements

  • Bright graduate with future aspirations to teach
  • Able to build strong but professional relationships with students, teachers, and parents
  • Confident and able to relay feedback to teachers and parents
  • Experience with SEN beneficial but not essential
  • Able to commit full-time for the academic year
