We are seeking an experienced Road Freight Branch Manager to join our team in Manchester. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for managing a team of road freight forwarders, an in-house customs coordinator, and a warehouse coordinator/administrator.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of around 10 members primarily focused on office tasks, although there is a small holding warehouse.
  • Ensure the branch runs smoothly, adhering to health and safety regulations, and meeting deadlines.
  • Oversee the small warehouse facilities and the customs clearance department on-site.
  • Manage gate-to-gate forwarding, with a small amount for short-term stock holding at the warehouse.

Requirements:

  • A road freight forwarding background, capable of managing a small team.
  • Basic knowledge of customs and warehouse operations is preferred, but training can be provided.
  • A solid understanding of road freight is essential.
