About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Instrument Cluster Principal Engineer to join our team at Jonathan Lee Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our Centre of Excellence for design and development, you will be responsible for leading the development of Instrument Cluster, Head-Up Displays, and Displays, ensuring adherence to Design and Test standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of Instrument Cluster, Head-Up Displays, and Displays, ensuring adherence to Design and Test standards.
  • Manage suppliers closely to guarantee the delivery of parts aligns with program requirements for cost, quality, and timing.
  • Issue and maintain physical part BOM and configuration data for manufacturing plant.
  • Prepare functional specifications and present part development status at internal Design Reviews.
  • Manage in-house and supplier validation of parts, and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Contribute to vehicle life cycle cost reduction and lead warranty investigations and implementations.

Requirements:

  • Relevant Engineering Degree or equivalent with a strong understanding of basic electrical theory.
  • Extensive experience in similar roles within the automotive or equivalent sectors.
  • Exposure to CAN communication and familiarity with software development V cycle.
  • Proficiency in HMI specification creation and a well-organized, excellent communicator.
  • Ability to travel in the UK and abroad, sometimes at short notice.
