About the OrganisationPublic Health Scotland is the national health board responsible for leading and enabling the improvement of health and wellbeing, and the reduction of health inequalities across Scotland. We work closely with the Scottish Government and COSLA to support whole-system action on the determinants of health.
We are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of the people of Scotland, and we are seeking a talented and dedicated individual to join our team as Director of Strategy and Governance.
About the PostThe Director of Strategy and Governance will play a critical role in leading and managing the delivery of our strategy, ensuring that we are well-placed to respond to the changing needs of the people of Scotland. The post holder will be responsible for financial and non-financial planning, and will lead a suite of internal transformation programmes to ensure that we deliver on our purpose.
The successful candidate will have a strong track record of leadership and management, with experience of operating at a senior level in a complex and dynamic environment. They will be a strategic thinker, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a passion for public health and wellbeing.
