About the Job

We are seeking a Student Progress Facilitator to join our team at Suffolk New College.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering tutorial support and professional skills development to students, helping them stay on-programme and achieve success in education or employment.

You will have a caseload of students from specific vocational areas and provide group and one-to-one support, as well as deliver Professional Development sessions.

The role requires experience of working with young people, motivating and inspiring them to set clear targets and monitor progress.

You should be organised, able to multi-task and communicate effectively with a range of audiences.

Essential criteria include a Level 3 qualification accompanied by literacy and numeracy to Level 2, as well as a teaching qualification or commitment to attaining one within a specified timeframe.

Key Responsibilities

This role involves:

  • Delivering tutorial support and professional skills development to students from specific vocational areas
  • Delivering Professional Development sessions on topics such as resilience, health and wellbeing, life skills, British Values and e-Safety
  • Working closely with other Progress Tutors and Vocational Tutors to ensure effective student support
Our Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £27,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also receive a range of benefits including pension scheme, employee assistance programme and opportunities for professional development.
