Job Overview:

Leonardo is seeking a skilled Operational Systems Analyst to join the Global Combat Air System Programme (GCAP) team, working on the development of the Tempest fighter aircraft.

This role involves managing teams to design and integrate complex mission systems for testing in synthetic environments and airborne trials.

The GCAP programme is a global project, offering opportunities for collaboration with teams from the UK, Italy, and Japan.

Candidates must be capable of obtaining SC security clearance and may need access to restricted information.

This role includes office-based work in a variety of locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with experts to explore key technologies for the system
  • Support analysis and simulation for military capability development
  • Create synthetic environments using simulation tools
  • Develop engineering specifications and presentations

Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain SC clearance
  • Degree or equivalent in Science/Technology/Engineering/Maths
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Proficient at analyzing complex systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Self-motivated and driven

Experience in military environments, simulation, programming, Agile working, and sensors is advantageous.

Successful candidates will have a practical understanding of systems engineering principles.
