Job Summary:
Cranswick Country Foods PLC is seeking a skilled Bulk Packing Operative to join our team in Preston. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for packing bulk items ready for despatch in our Butchery/Retail department.
Main Responsibilities:
- Pack bulk items efficiently and accurately to meet production targets.
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area, adhering to safety and hygiene regulations.
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times within the production area.
- Report any equipment defects or issues to the Line Leader promptly.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to achieving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in quality, health, safety, and environment, yields, and customer service.
- Adhere to good housekeeping and hygiene practices to ensure product safety.
- Attend required training sessions to stay up-to-date with legislation, Health and Safety guidelines, and departmental operations.
Requirements and Specifications:
- Previous experience working in fast-paced, hands-on environments.
- Ability to work towards targets and meet deadlines.
- Comfortable with heavy lifting and working in cold environments.
- Awareness of food hygiene and health and safety practices.
