Job Title: Hardware Deployment Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Hardware Deployment Systems Engineer to join our team at Quantinuum. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the successful deployment of our Quantum Processing Units (QPUs) to customer sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the deployment of QPUs to customer sites
  • Understand, analyze, and manage complex requirements for our QPUs and subsystems related to hardware deployment at customer sites
  • Develop, maintain, and implement frameworks for testing, disassembly, and deployment protocols
  • Work closely with subsystem and integration teams on requirement and protocol generation and tracing
  • Drive continuous improvement of On-Premises hardware deployability from unit to unit and generation to generation
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree minimum
  • Minimum 6+ years post-graduate experience as a Systems Engineer, Deployment Engineer, or technical contributor in an R&D or hardware production environment
  • Due to contractual requirements, must be a U.S. Person, defined as a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or green card holder, workers granted asylum or refugee status
Preferred Qualifications:
  • M.S or Ph.D. in engineering or physical sciences
  • Experience with product life cycle, specifically deployment of hardware, such as high-performance computing, large-scale scientific collaborations, manufacturing, and/or analysis equipment
  • Fluency in Model-Based Systems Engineering and previous experience with Cameo and SysML
  • Deep familiarity with test planning, design for deployment, and the FMEA and RCA process
  • Strong organizational & leadership skills; Excellent written and verbal communication skills
